Hi and welcome to 37712!
Before we begin, grab a pile of biscuits and a hot chocolate! Sitting comfortably?
LETS BEGIN!
I am an active member at the Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway, which seems to change even more radically every week! I have many freinds there and we occasionally go "On Tour" although not enough for my liking! Its generally a lot of fun, often covered head to toe in dirt and oil, and helps a good cause.
There are some good freinds on Youtube though, Rhysicus, PBRjohn684, CardiffCanton37422, 47840Chaser, Hyperen, JBTEvans, PBRVideos, 50031mad, GJDobbzy, hstman14, James14611, TheRailFan to name but a few!
Anyhow, enjoy browsing, Adam |

05-10
Got the free bus to the WSR after the Taunton overnighter, saw 73133 and 66527 parked in Fairwater Yard, ta to Dave Robbins for the info about the free bus!
33048 D832 47840 D1010 D7523 and a few other diesels on display, some beatiful steamers around Somerset today, The most beautiful thing had to be Bulleid Rebuilt Light Pacific 4-6-2 West Country 34046 Braunton in spotless condition, in stark contrast to 35011 General Steam Navigation in scrapyard condition at Williton.
Thanks to Lee & Dave Robbins, the PBR gang, especially Scottish Mark for the lift home, Dick and Mrs Dick for the great weekend.

Spent a day with Cam Red and Tim around the Bristol area, did BRI - Stapleton Road - Lawrence Hill - BRI - Parkway - Patchway - BRI - BTH - BRI - BTH - BRI - Taunton then stayed at Taunton for the first bus in the moring to Bishops Lydeard. Nice meeting Kev at Taunton.
Saw the normal units, hst's and the odd Voyager, 66173 northbound on 1Z66 The Portbury Docker at Lawrence Hill, 66128 on a coal at Filton Abbey Wood, and 67001 + 67002 on the return of The Portbury Docker through Bath Spa, 43191 & 43192 on a Swansea and nothing at Taunton!
Not many photos as i mainly got video.

Had 43187 / 43035 for a 0713 BPW - NWP bash, Ta to Russ for the lift to Kidderminster. Spent a great day with the lads (and lass), lots of enjoyable smells away from the "Tin Boxes". Lots of GWR stuff, 3440 City Of Truro 9017 Earl Of Berkeley 813 5764 7802 Bradley Manor 7812 Erlstoke Manor 5526 5542 and 5164 with Ivatt 2MT 2-6-0 46446 and something else. Had some fun when the 4-4-0 Dukedog running in reverse stalled on Highley Bank throwing the timetable into dissaray, and a points failiure at Highley. Highlight had to be Erlstoke Manor at night, spectacular smoke effects in the dark!
Ta to Russ, Ryan, The Al Pals, Ange, Dave and Captain Cod

 | 19th Sep 2008 | PBR Photo Charter
15 + 16-09
Took about four hours to get from school to the PBR, thanks to Jon & Sam for the lift. Still, some nice fots from the night shoot, not showing me stuck on the roof courtesy of Chris. Still managed a few good fots.
The next day, got stuck on the brake-van for about half hour with the crew, managed to jump off and get some fots at Forgeside. Ta to Rhys for the taxi service. Pottered about in the cutting, Roger got stuck on the brake-van roof, so we had to rescue him! Not a bad couple of days, Ta to The Compo Club also.

 | 15th Sep 2008 | PBR 25th Anniverarry Celebration Gala

A great weekend spent at the PBR, tried some new fotting techniques, please tell me if they worked. GWR 56XX 5619 from the Telford Steam Railway in evidence along with D5627 / 31203 Steve Organ GM and 73128 Silver Jubilee for banking assistance.
Mainly pottered around on the Saturday, shaving Swansea John's head provided some tidy entertainment but, the" Railtour " on Saturday evening providing enough entertainment and laughter to make even the most miserable people laugh! Got left on the lineside due to Rhysicus' dodgy hearing, but walked down to High Level for the buffet, the run back up providing basically, for me at least, pornography (steam at night)!.
Sunday morning provided Aled & Ben at 6:00 THE GITS! Spent most of the day on the gate, but managing to escape at a few times for fots, then the dedication of Gwynfor's bench involving speeches and paying respects, a fitting tribute to the railway's early "father".
Ta to Eric for the loan of his batteries, Andy for the lift back to Newport on Sunday night and everbody else for the best weekend i've ever spent there!

 | 12th Sep 2008 | A Bodysnatcher And A Britannia
11-09-08
Did 60950 (A bus Russ) to Oldmarket, ran to Temple Meads then an HST to Bath and back. 57006 in the loco bay's at Temple Meads and 66070 on Westbury coals at Oldfield Park loop.
Back at Bristol 66952 on Kingsland Road and 34067 Tangmere and 6024 King Edward I on Barton Hill Depot.
Met Jeffery on P10, for the 1Z83 17:37 Bristol Temple Meads - London Victoria with BR 7P 4-6-2 Britannia 70013 Oliver Cromwell in spotless condition. What a farce with the service trains, 17:10 to Gloucester cancelled and 1722 Portsmouth 21 late! Still managed to bash "Ollie" to Bath Spa

 | 10th Sep 2008 | 31203 37216 and 73128 at the PBR
07-09
After a long wait, Goyle 31203 aka D5627 Steve Organ GM in spotless BR Green finally arrived at the Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway. She was posed next to 37216 & 73128 for a bit, then 73128 worked the service. Had a mimi diesel gala when 31203 couldnt get up the incline from the bottom shed, so 104 + 200793 were fired up. Then some shunting, followed by 31203 making her first, and very slow journey up to the Whistle Inn
